How inspiring it was to watch 51 volunteers spring into action on May 14 at the Project Share food distribution in Pierson! More than 2200 people were served with healthy groceries that included plenty of meat, vegetables and other assorted kitchen staples. Best of all, we had plenty of volunteers, which made the day fun for all. We can’t say thank you enough to those who came out to help.
As the days grow warmer and nature bursts into bloom, spring offers the perfect opportunity to give back to your community and embrace new beginnings. It’s the perfect time to think about how we can reach out to others and make a meaningful impact through kindness.
Want to be a part of Project Share’s efforts? Join us at the next Pierson food distribution on Wednesday, June 11 at 165 Emporia Rd. Volunteers are needed from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm. We have a job for everyone, no matter your age or level of physical fitness. We work outside and it will be warm in June, so please remember a hat, sunscreen and some snacks. We supply water for the volunteers.
The other dates in summer are July 9 and August 13. We continue on throughout the year on every second Wednesday of the month. Many hands are needed to do this work. Your help is appreciated!
This season, let’s embrace the opportunity to give back, lift others up, and create a brighter, more compassionate world. Together, we can turn small efforts into profound change. Are you ready to spring into action?
